Tearing wallpaper

It was past his usual wake up time this morning and I was surprised that he hadn't made any noise. So I crept quietly into his room and look what I discovered.

"I want that! Mommy pulled my bed away but I think I can pull myself up and get closer to the wall"

"Just a little bit more, maybe if I could just prop myself on the bolster...wow, I'm almost standing! Cooool"

"hehe, I can reach the wallpaper now. Let me just tear it off and get a taste of it."

"Ooops...Darn! Mommy caught me in the act!"

It's time to get Daddy to adjust the height of that bed.

Shriek

It was a day of screaming very loudly for Aidan. It's really odd because I don't recall him ever screaming so loudly before or even if he did, it's probably a one-off, unlike the concerto he gave today.

Turn up your speakers and get ready for a scream-fest. hehehe...

A Random Thursday

Fed Aidan his first Rusk bikkies today. Looking at his first picture, you'd think that it's an agony for him. But fact is, he was slobbering all over it. Just look at how dirty he got by the end of it but certainly looking very pleased with himself.

Also made fish porridge for the first time today. Didn't want him to take any meat till he is 7 months and I didn't think he would enjoy plain porridge at all. I mixed his usual carrot puree in it in the hope that it would be sweeter and that explains the colour.

At last sat's girls night out, the girls went for a supper of Bak Kut Teh after dinner at Brussels Sprout and dessert at Canele (yes, we can really eat). However, I couldn't join them as I was feeling really beat and my aunt called to say that Aidan had been cranky while in her care.

So, since that day, I had been thinking about BKT and today I decided to cook it myself! I swear it's no less yummy :)

Lovely Monday

It was such a lovely Monday. It was the first day of sale at B and it so happened that DH took a day off. So we went shopping first thing in the moring and after we got our loot, we headed to Au Petit Salut at Dempsey for lunch.

Have always wanted to try their set lunch since forever and finally we did. It was fantastic. Every course was so delicious and done to perfection. My only regret is that I couldn't have the rest of the menu :P
Homemade duck rillette with mesclun salad and walnut dressing

Half dozen baked Burgundy snails with tomato and garlic butter

Braised lamb shoulder stew “ Navarin ” , spring vegetables and baby potatoes

Red wine braised beef cheeks, carrots, mushrooms and parsley potato

Crème Brulée infused with fresh Madagascar vanilla beans
Passionfruit soufflé

Such quality food. A definitely treat for the tastebuds. Can you believe the bill came up to about total of sgd75? What a great deal! Can't wait to go back again.

Now for some pics of Aidan. We just trimmed his hair, so he looked nice :) I love his 'boh geh' smile :P

We sat outdoors. Kinda hot and we were perspiring abit. But it was still nice. And did you notice? Aidan can now sit in a baby chair *grin*

And the last one, of my favourite boys before we went out ^^

P.S: Formatting this post has been such tedious work. I still couldn't get the result I wanted. Sometimes, i really do hate blogspot.

Sex and the City

First post for myself :)

I am a big fan of the series. So when the movie came out, my gfs and I went to catch the Wed night preview. I had no expectations of how the movie would turn out. Being a fan, I would still go watch it anyway. Therefore, I was rather pleasantly surprised that the movie was...excellent! Although it was a pretty long movie, no one wanted it to end. Even for friends who weren't fans, they loved it. To a shopaholic and a label freak, watching the movie was absolutely thrilling. I had lotsa fun identifying which label the bags and shoes came from ;P

That night when I went home, still high from the movie, I went to order the collector's boxset from www.amazon.com I had finished the entire season 1-6 but would love to watch it again and have a set to keep. So glad that I did because it's gorgeous. It's stored in a pink velvet book, so luxe and pretty. It's ring-bound inside with lotsa pictures, much like a coffee table book. There are content pages with nice quotes and descriptions. See for yourself :D Now, who cares for the pirated version when you can have this?

Best of all, I got it for only usd109. Now it's retailing for usd199 :P

Sophie's party

Was at Anne and Lailee's place for Sophie's 2 year old little birthday gathering. Gosh! It's so difficult to get the little ones to pose for a picture at the same time! So could only managed to get them one or two at a time haha.

This is little Sophie, the birthday girl. She's really cute in the red zara top and jeans that her daddy proudly proclaimed he had bought for her. Aunty Elaine's feeding her fruit! Apparantly, she loves fruit. I hope Aidan will too even though his parents aren't particularly fond of them :P

Aidan and Aunty Elaine, or the Fairy Godmother as what Aidan's daddy jokingly said one day heehee...But seriously, she has been a brick. She has been helping us babysit Aidan at times when we needed a break. Can you believe when I say she was the one who went to the hospital to help and accompanied us back home on the day we checked out of TMC? Thank goodness for good friends like her!
Er hem....please excuse the daddy's protruding tummy. He happened to stick his tummy into the picture just as I pressed the buttom.

Aidan and baby Kristen. Can you tell who's older? Kristen is older by 5 months but I think Aidan, the giant baby, is physically bigger than her. He was actually quite taken with Kristen. Before the picture was taken, he was reaching out to her. Erm...not really sure what he had intended to do and I could see that she was feeling uncomfortable and inched ever so slightly away from him hahahaha :D I was so scared that he was going to grab her hair or scratch her face or something!

Ok, what's a party without the food right? Well, the food was fabulous. Most delicious was the mini pastries ordered from http://www.amosco.com.sg/products_thaw.htm Ok, this is a badly taken picture but we were in a rush to get to Aidan's gym class so I just took it hurriedly. There were mini profiteroles, mini eclairs and mini swiss rolls. All Yummilicious and perfectly bite size and easy to eat. Just pop it into mouth hehehe... I was secretly feeling :( that we couldn't stay to eat more. Luckily Anne offered to let us take away some heehee... of course I accepted and we had our fill in the car.

Cream Of Broccoli

This is what Aidan normally has for his dinner, pureed vegetable. Looks yucky? It's not bad actually, very sweet and he totally loves it. OK, granted he hasn't tasted the delicacies that we are used to :P If only we can have his bland palette, we could all be healthy, not to mention trim and slim!

Broccoli and Cauliflower Puree

In this bowl, there are 2 cubes of the above, 2 cubes of sweet potato and 1 cube of carrot. It's quite fun to make these and making he has a variety of vege. Recently at Anne's house for Sophie's birthday gathering, she told me that Sophie, 2 year old, is taking just 4 cubes. She was, needless to say, shocked at Aidan's hearty appetite. Well, shall I say... like parents like son? hehehe.

Aidan at birth

Have I mentioned that I have lots to catch up on? Here are 2 vids of Aidan at birth.
Please pardon the anxious daddy's shaky hands and out of focus shots LOL.

Warning: Blood and gore, not for the faint-hearted.

Crawling or dry swimming?

At 6.5 months, he can't really crawl yet. But he sure can make a dash for something he wants to get hold of!

Here's another showing off his new found mobility

Baby Gap

We always dress Aidan up in baby rompers and one-piece body suit. I do buy him nice polos and pants but for when he is older. In fact, I have a whole drawer full of clothes for when he is older than 12 months. (Hehe...what to do? I'm a shopaholic :P) As for now he's hardly out of his stroller when we're out anyway, so what's the point of dressing him up right? However, I have noticed many babies, younger than Aidan, very well-dressed in shirts or long pants. So when I looked at Aidan in his little romper, chubby thighs and legs all exposed, I felt mildly embarrased for him.

So recently, at the Gap sale, I bought a pair of pants that he can wear now and not later. The top was from Gap.com, where I often shop at. He looked nice! :) Someone I met when I was shopping with Aidan said he ought to be in a commercial. I agree :P

Another dressed-up picture of him in the top I got from M&S and jeans, a gift from his daddy's ex-boss.

Gorgeous Aidan

Just found these gorgeous pictures of Aidan in the camera today that I'd forgotten. He changes all the time and these are when he's about 4.5months. Now that gravity is finally doing it's work, I miss his previous spikey hairstyle very much. Does he look pan-asian to you? hehehe...

Doesn't this picture reminds you of a certain Edison Chen? ;P
